Experience
After attending the University of Massachusetts, my Master of Science degree in Biotechnology landed me a position as an associate research scientist in biotech. I served as a team leader on one of the more interesting assignments that I worked on, guiding a group of researchers challenged with the creation of protein production in a proprietary cell line. This project led to the development of an innovative info platform for globally renowned bio-pharmaceutical companies. Upon completion of this project, I answered my lifelong call to teach by working as a college adjunct professor specializing in anatomy, biology, microbiology, nutrition, and physiology. I think of the time I spend with students as one of my most bountiful involvements. I enjoy delivering humorous lectures that skew perspectives, enhance the need for answers, and inspire the continuation of my students' educational endeavors.Seeing new places inspires me, as the journey challenges preconceived notions and sparks curiosity. I love to bicycle as well, and feel at home on a tennis court. Entrepreneurship also intrigues me, as does designing websites and reading all sorts of educational and creative material. I believe that an active body and mind leads to an active life, so let's get going!
